Breast Revision with Implant Exchange and Breast Lift (i.e. Mastopexy)
This 57 year-old female previously underwent bilateral subglandular (i.e. on top of muscle) silicone breast augmentation over 20 years ago. Her breast implants were scarred and out of position and created a large “bottoming-out” deformity. The old implants and scar tissue were removed and the new implants were supported with an “internal bra” known as STRATTICE. MENTOR® MemoryGel™ Smooth Moderate Profile Plus (440 cc) silicone implants were then placed. The redundant skin and breast tissue was removed by performing a breast lift (i.e. mastopexy). The postoperative result at 1 year shows a beautiful, natural shape to the breast and nipple.
