Lower Blepharoplasty with Ectropion Repair
This 60 year-old gentleman underwent multiple previous eyelid surgeries which left an “overdone,” sagging appearance to his lower eyelids. In addition, this caused chronic lower eyelid irritation. This condition, known as ectropion, can worsen dry eyes and lead to corneal damage. A precise oculoplastic technique, known as a drill-hole canthoplasty, was utilized to restore the natural connections of the corner of the eyes. His result at 1 year shows excellent eyelid position with alleviation of his eye irritation.
