Cheek Reconstruction After Skin Cancer
This 56-year-old female was diagnosed with an aggressive basal cell carcinoma of the left side of the nose which invaded into the nerves of the face. After Mohs Surgery to resect the tumor, she was left with a large full-thickness defect involving the entire left sidewall of the nose. A 3-stage forehead flap was performed for her reconstruction. She also required postoperative radiation to treat the invasion of the cancer into the nerves. Results are shown at 1 year.
