Breast Revision with Implant Exchange, Mastopexy and Reconstruction of Inframammary Fold
This 64 year-old female previously underwent bilateral subglandular silicone breast augmentation. After 35 years, the implants were ruptured, creating a misshapen breast and capsular contracture. She also wished to have much larger and fuller breasts. The free silicone, implants and scar tissue were removed. New SIENTRA® OPUS ™ HSC+, High Profile (415 cc) silicone implants were then placed in the submuscular position to hold their shape. In addition, the nipples were elevated through a round, peri-areolar scar. The breast pocket was reconfigured with porcine acellular dermal matrix (i.e. Strattice). The postoperative result at 1 year shows a natural, projected, aesthetic shape to the breast with the implant now sitting in a more natural position on the chest wall.
