Breast Revision with Implant Exchange and Breast Lift (i.e. Mastopexy)
This 63 year-old female previously underwent bilateral submuscular silicone breast augmentation over 30 years ago. Her breast implants were ruptured and created a large “bottoming-out” deformity. She desired a perkier, but smaller size. The old implants were removed and the new implants were placed in a new position (known as a neo-subpectoral pocket). MENTOR® MemoryGel™ Smooth, Textured, High Profile (375cc) silicone implants were then placed. The redundant skin and breast tissue was removed by performing a breast lift (i.e. mastopexy). The postoperative result at 1 year shows a beautiful, natural shape to the breast and nipple.
