Breast Revision with Implant Exchange, Mastopexy and Reconstruction of Inframammary Fold
This 67 year-old female previously underwent bilateral subglandular silicone breast augmentation. After 30 years, the implants were ruptured, creating a misshapen breast. The free silicone and implants were removed and new MENTOR® MemoryGel™ Textured, Round, High Profile (275cc) silicone implants were then placed in the submuscular position to hold their shape. In addition, the nipples were elevated through a round, peri-areolar scar. The postoperative result at 1 year shows a natural, projected, aesthetic shape to the breast with the implant now sitting in a more natural position on the chest wall.
