Upper Lip Reconstruction After Skin Cancer

This 72-year-old female was diagnosed with an early-stage melanoma of her right upper lip. This required a large removal which is pictured below. Skin from her lower face was repositioned into the lip utilizing a procedure known as a V to Y advancement flap. This procedure restored the contour of her mouth and significantly reduced the long-term scars. Results are shown at 1 year.
