Deep Plane Facelift, Necklift, & Fat Transfer
This 62-year-old woman had a very poorly designed facelift in the past. This left her looking very hollow with her ear position out of place (known as a “pixie ear deformity”). Dr. Pacella performed a deep plane facelift and a modest volume of fat was transferred to her cheeks from her abdomen. During an extended deep plane facelift, the deeper muscles are suspended high on the cheek to create a youthful height of the cheek. In order to restore the natural youthful curvature of the cheek, fat transfer from the abdomen was precisely positioned throughout the face, cheeks and facial folds. Her result is pictured at 1 year, showing excellent longevity of the fat transfer and surgical techniques.
